Cafe Cafe : Food review

First of all, I apologise for the very low quality and lots of noise pictures. It's because I just hate to use flash when taking pictures ! It makes your face looks white n others looks so dark - - " And most of all, it is so annoying when someone flashes when you are in the midst of a romantic dinner eh. So for the comfort of all the diners there, and also my own preference, I chose not to use flash ! And I regretted it ... Sorry guys

So, on a lovely Saturday night, my dear said he's gonna bring me somewhere for a surprise candlelight dinner.
Yeah, after one year and 4 months only he bringing me to a candle light dinner. Omg ! But never mind, I was still excited.

After the movie Jennifer's Body ( Hell it sucked ! ) we headed to KL. The road seemed familiar, and I asked him, is it "Cafe Cafe" ? Then he said " HOW U KNOW !! " HAHAHA ! Potong already lar XD I've been there b4 to celebrate my friend's birthday and I told him before ! Who ask you not to pay attention when I'm talking always =P

So here we were !

The menu there is really hard to read as they mostly put I don't know Italian or French names or some kinda weird words.

The flavour could be more intense by adding more garlic and olive oil to it . Superb =)

Tomato Soup

I don't really like tomato soup, but this one really tastes so nice !

Fettucini with White Truffles Sauce

The fettucini is a  bit hard, the truffles sauce is too soury in taste. And as you can see, there isn't any garnishing or mushrooms or whatever on the plate ! Only poor little lonely fettucini with sauce ! And this god damn thing costs RM 59

Holy crap, it ain't worth paying at all !

Lamb Shank with red wine

This is the worst Lamb Shank I ever eaten in my life ! It tastes bitter, and its so hard ! Compared to Bel Pasto's lamb shank, its heaven and hell. And the one at Bel Pasto only costs around RM 39 for a set, while this one costs RM99 for a set - - "

We were literally forcing the lamb down our throat just for the sake of it. Bad bad food *shakes head*

Lemon Sorbet

3/10

Too sour and lemony, the taste just ain't right. I can finish up half a tub of Nestle sorbet that costs RM5.90 but I can't even finish this little cup of sorbet.

Chocolate tart

2/10

Don't be deceived by its mouth watering looks. It only look good ! But even for a chocolate lover like me, a taste of this evil chocolate tart makes you wanna gulp down a full glass of water. Yes, it is too freaking sweet and creamy. It was the only thing I was looking forward to through out the meal, but it is a total disappointment.

My overall experience at Cafe Cafe wasn't entirely that bad despite the food. The total bill came up to around RM200. Would not mind paying if the food was good, but it was really bad! If you are looking forward to visit this cafe, may I warn you not to order the red wine lamb shank and fettucini! The ambience is really romantic if you want to bring your date, but be careful with what you order =)

Selling cigarettes, a crime?

Recently I've heard of some very sad stories from my colleague. Well, for your information, YES I am working for Marlboro's LAMP project, roving team selling cigarettes at night.

The thing is, even before I entered Marlboro, there's lots of speculations and sarcasm on the job of selling cigarettes. I wonder, is selling cigarettes a crime? We don't force customers to buy cigarettes, of course we don't force non smokers to smoke ! We don't approach people under 18, and we don't ENTERTAIN you just so that you will purchase a pack of freaking RM 6 cigarettes from us ! We are doing legal business, sales, not lying, not PR, not entertainer, not selling our bodies or whatever fuck. So what is your freaking problem with us ?! 

Some customers are really fucking perverts. They will ask stupid questions like, " You sit down then I'll buy a pack of cigarettes from you." Please lah uncle ! I don't need you to buy the cigarette from me THAT desperately, my job is just to introduce you to our new cigarette and make you more convenient to get your pack of ciggies. If you want leng luis to sit with you, then don't go to these kinda pub lar, since you say " IF I BUY ALL YOUR CIGARETTE STOCK CAN I HAVE YOU?" , if you really so fucking rich then go to Las Vegas, Deluxe and those kinda high class night club. Why the hell you still sitting here and talking bull shit to me? 

People just don't understand and accept what are we really doing. It is still a job, a profession. Many work day jobs and Marlboro at night, the reason? Just to earn extra money. Who can deny the fact they money is always not enough for us? Some people may say, "don't be so greedy lah ! Got money to use say not enough, want to work this kind of job." Please, before you say that, think of one thing, are you earning your OWN MONEY and using your OWN MONEY ? Or you are still depending on your parents, your boyfriend, your admirer to get that Louis Vuitton and Gucci for you? Use your brain before you look down on us, we have a legal job, at least we work hard to earn our own money, and don't look down on people. Do you really think being a PR is really so easy and fun ? Don't you think they have feelings as well? Maybe you will say "It's their own choice to choose this road." Yeah it may, but what will you do if you are freakin fucking poor and you 

still have to earn a living to pay off bills, rent, food and maybe support your family ?! At least we are working our assess off, not relying on others or doing illegal stuff ~ 

Damn bullshit, people always think they are better off than others. They will never ever walk in other people's shoes before judging them. My friend told me her story, that her boyfriends family dislike her for doing this job. I can say I am very lucky to have an understanding family and also my boyfriend's family as well back in Penang. They know what I'm doing, and they respect me for working so hard juggling between studies and my job. Don't think its an easy job, its a commitment you have to make. Even you have tons of assignment or you have 8am class in the morning, you still have to work at night! It is a responsibility you learn to cope with. 

My friends' bf's mom simply ignores her everytime she talks to her. Even when she wants to drink something, they will talk to her in a very sarcastic way, like " oh, you want to drink soup? Ok, drink more wor, you have to WORK tat kinda job later" WTF ?!!! .... I really feel sad for my friend, she doesnt come from a rich family, and she's working so that she can go back to college and study. She has been working since she was 16 because of her poor family background. And then I asked her, why don't you explain to them how hard you feel, and your family background. She told me something which I think was very right, once they think you are sinful, you will always be, no matter what good deed you may do. I truly feel sad for her, and this makes me blog about this. Hoping that you people out there can understand us.

It's just a job like others, we don't quote higher prices so that we can earn more profit like many business now works, and we don't lie to customers about our products. We are not entertainers, we are brand ambassadors ! 

And you know what? Marlboro gang FTW ! I love you guys....

Pros 
<3 its so light for a laptop packed with its features ! 
Weighing only 2.1kg, very portable for ladies :)


<3 textured surface instead of the conventional glossy surface !
Unique in style, does not pick up fingerprints or easily get scratched :)


<3 Cool LED 
LED lights on touch pad and controls are totally cool ! You can deactivate the LED by turning on the Toshiba ECO mode power saving utility. Which helps saves up to half the normal electricity used for laptop operations, in the meantime turning off the LEDs for your comfort :) 


<3 Speaker
Speakers with DOLBY system is a thumbs up compared to other laptops. This provides a 3D sound and utmost clarity :) 


<3 Webcam
The webcam pre-installed in Toshiba has a sleek design. It is also very clear and comes with some workable and excellent effect such as night mode and contrast enhancement and such. The mic works perfectly fine as well.


Cons 
T series processor
This series of processor does not work as efficiently compared to others. Find my lappie a bit slow even its filled with 4GB of RAM. However, 32-bit Windows only support up to 3GB of RAM. Might wait for Windows7 to speculate more on its processor functions.


Keyboard
The keyboard is very soft and creates a bit of noise.
Dislike typing on the keyboard as it kinda sinks in when typing ! 


Textured finish on the inside
The textured finish surrounding the keyboard makes it easy to pick up dirt and sweat.
Might create a problem after prolonged usage as it will get dirty easily and cleaning it will be a tough task to do !


LCD display
Not as clear and bright as what I imagined it should be ! 


Overall, I still love my toshiba m900 because its design is totally cool and pinkish !!

When we grow up

Haven't blogged in a very long time now.
Sorry to all, had been really really busy with assignments and jobs and etc..

A thought came to my mind just this moment, when im sitting here reading blogs on my laptop...

Ranging from the age of 14 - 21 ..
I noticed something..

As we grow up, we confine ourselves in the walls we built and the veils we put on to hide our true selves from society.

A 14 year old girl will just pour out all her feelings, vent all her anger, confess all her love through her blog. When I was that age, my blog is the only place where I feel comfortable with.
Where I feel home, and safe. Where I can talk everything I want, and make me feel really relieved. My blog was my best friend, OR a channel to my best friends.

When I grow up, the tendency for me to blog became lesser.
I became busier, with college works, outings, socializing, and stuff.

Yet later I found out, time is not the main factor for me not to blog.

I built a wall to confine myself from society, wore a veil to hide the ugly side of me.

I became scared to reveal my feelings through blogs. Knowing how fine the line is between public and private space. Knowing how strangers can just drop by my blog and know everything about my personal life. Knowing how people will critic about my pictures, knowing how friends would so easily get offended by my words.

Growing up, is never an easy proccess.

People wear a mask, not because they want to, yet they are forced to ...
As you grow up you will eventually know what I mean.

We always say we act ourselves in front of people, yet deep down in your heart...
Ask yourselves, how many times have u stop the urge to tell how your friend look ugly in that dress? Or how dumb were they to get cheated?

I have been really depressed lately, really really...

The amount of stress is just unbearable..
I know there's so much more to handle, and so much more people who are more difficult for me..

But for this very moment, I really am selfish. Because ... I just can't take it anymore...


Thank you people, for reading this blog.
It makes me feel young all over again ... =)
